Thrive Church Canton website preview

Thrive Church Canton is a brand-new church plant launching in 2027 in Canton, Michigan, with services at the Emagine Theater. Pastor Shane Pringle and his family needed more than a coming-soon page -they needed a complete digital platform to build community, accept donations, and manage operations before the doors even open.
We built a full-stack Next.js application with two distinct experiences: a public-facing launch website designed to build excitement and gather supporters, and a role-based admin dashboard that gives church leadership full operational control from day one.
The public site features a bold visual system built around the church's custom brand -Charcoal, Rust, Ivory, Spirit green, Sand, Petal, and Sage -with Adobe Typekit fonts (Owners Wide Bold and Gotham Book) and 144 branding asset variants across icons, primary logos, secondary logos, tertiary logos, and wordmarks. The admin dashboard covers donations, attendance tracking, video library, live stream management, prayer requests, leadership profiles, a full branding studio with canvas editing, and a content management system.

What we built
A Launch Website That Builds Community Before Day One
The homepage opens with a full-bleed hero image of the Detroit skyline, overlaid with the Thrive Church logo and a typewriter animation that types out the church's mission statement character by character. A floating pill-shaped navbar stays fixed at the top, giving the site a modern, app-like feel. Vertical text along the right edge reads "HEAL · GROW · THRIVE," reinforcing the church's core values at a glance.
Below the hero, the site flows through core sections: Vision & Mission with a wireframe marquee and scripture quote, Give Online with sticky-scroll donation tiers, Who We Are with horizontal snap-scroll panels for core values, a Prayer section, and a Join the Launch Team call-to-action. Every section is designed to move visitors from curiosity to commitment -whether that means filling out a connect card, starting a recurring donation, or submitting a prayer request.

Sticky Scroll Donation Experience
The Give Online section uses a sticky scroll mechanic where the left-side content stays pinned while donation tiers scroll into view on the right. Each tier -Plant a Seed ($5), Grow the Vision ($10), Launch Partner ($25), and Give Your Way (custom) -is presented as a liquid glass card with the church's Spirit green accent color and a clear monthly giving CTA.
This approach avoids the typical "pricing table" feel and instead creates a story-driven giving experience that matches the church's warm, inviting brand. The section is built as a client component with IntersectionObserver-driven scroll tracking, so the active tier highlights as the user scrolls naturally through the content.

Digital Connect Card for Launch Team Growth
The Join the Launch Team section serves as the primary conversion point for the pre-launch phase. It features a Digital Connect Card -a form that collects first name, last name, phone, email, and interest level (Learning More, Attending Interest Meeting, or Other).
The form sits on the church's signature dark Charcoal background with the tertiary logo watermark visible behind it. The design balances approachability with intentionality: it feels like a personal invitation, not a generic sign-up form. Submissions are validated client-side and routed to the church leadership team for follow-up.

Full Admin Dashboard for Church Operations
The admin dashboard is where this project goes from a website to a platform. Built with role-based access control supporting Staff, Pastor, and Developer roles, it gives church leadership a centralized command center with 15+ pages covering every operational need.
The dashboard overview displays real-time KPI cards -total donations ($3,140), total attendees (13), families (5), and active content (videos and streams) -along with an attendance trend chart, donation goal progress bar, recent prayer requests with category tagging (healing, guidance, gratitude, family), and a leadership directory. Quick-action pills across the top provide one-tap navigation to Donations, Attendance, Videos, Live Stream, Content, Prayers, Leadership, and the Branding Studio.
The Branding Studio deserves special mention: it includes a full canvas editor where staff can create social media graphics, browse 144 logo asset variants, generate styled QR codes, and maintain visual consistency across all church communications -all without needing external design tools like Canva or Photoshop.
